Overcome Panic Attacks – Natural Ways To Overcome Panic Attacks

Article by Robert Wiggins

You don’t necessarily need a doctor’s visit to overcome panic attacks… you are often better off using natural options to cure panic attacks. The first thing you need to do when trying to overcome panic attacks is to study up on panic disorder and really understand what is happening inside of you when a panic attack strikes. When you’re armed with this knowledge you can take control of your anxious feelings and overcome panic attacks.

What are the best ways to overcome panic attacks naturally?

1) Exercise helps overcome panic attacks. Exercise has been scientifically proven to help with anxiety. That’s a fact! If you have less anxiety… you are less likely to have a panic attack. Also when you increase your heart rate, your breathing, and you really start sweating you get a good feeling. This good feeling helps you when you start to have a panic attack… How? Well, your body equates all of your panic symptoms with that good feeling (like an increase in heart rate or heavy breathing) so these symptoms no longer cause you to panic. You desensitize yourself to the feelings that typically bring on panic and anxiety.

2) Get eight hours of solid sleep at night. There is no easier way to overcome panic attacks then to get a full night of sleep and wake up rested. When your body is not properly rested it will send stress and anxiety signals to your mind. This anxiety keeps building up until you cannot take it anymore… then…before you know it… panic attack! When you sleep you relieve stress and anxiety that builds up during the day.

3) Overcome panic attacks by being getting out in public. This is going to be the last thing that people with panic attacks are going to want to hear… Typically people with panic attacks are scared to leave their houses because they fear when their next attack will strike. You have to avoid this feeling… you have to really get out there… once you do you will feel less lonely and you start to get more connected to people. This connected feeling alone can help you overcome panic attacks.

A great burden will be lifted off your shoulders once you learn how to overcome panic attacks. You’ll feel great relief when you no longer need to constantly be thinking about when you next panic attack will strike. You feel great freedom and a sense of accomplishment… overcoming panic attacks changes your life and makes it worth living again.

Avoid Panic Disorder Medications – Your Health Depends On It

Article by Robert Wiggins

If you go to the doctor for panic disorder medications are likely to be prescribed to you. Panic disorder medications are not all that they are cracked up to be… they are in no way shape or form an answer to your panic attacks. Panic disorder medications are useful in quelling your panic symptoms… but they do nothing to actually combat the disorder. You’re better off trying to avoid panic disorder medications for various reasons.

Most doctors will fail to mention that panic disorder medications really should be used as a final resort in curing your panic disorder. Doctors get money to prescribe these medications… so they often will recommend medications as a first line of defense against panic attacks… they really should be the last line. Doctors like the easy way out they will take your money and send you on your way.

So why should you stay away from panic disorder medications?

1) Panic disorder medications don’t really fight the cause of your panic attacks. When you take these medications you are just masking your symptoms. Masking your symptoms may be great for a while… but you eventually have to deal with your problems. The longer you let your problems fester… the harder they are to deal with.

2) The panic medications are tremendously addictive. Do you want to suffer through a long, drawn out, and painful withdraw? If you take these panic attack medications for an extended amount of time… that’s exactly what you have to look forward too! Panic disorder medications are so addictive that you HAVE to be under a doctor’s care when you stop taking them. Your body gets so addicted that you run the risk of seizure or even death when you stop taking them.

3) You are going to have to keep increasing your dosage. If your panic disorder medications actually do work… and you don’t mind being addicted to them… bear in mind that you are going to have to keep increasing your dosage. Much like an alcoholic that can drink 20 beers and be sober, you also are going to build up a tolerance to your medication. You are going to have to keep increasing your dose just to feel “normal.” Eventually you will be taking tons of medication… a lot more than when you started.

If you do decide to take panic disorder medications be a smart consumer. You have many options and you are a lot better off if you study the medications that you get prescribed and their side effects. Really though… you should be trying to fight panic disorders from the source using an all-natural, safe, and proven effective methods. In the long run you’ll be much happier if you avoid panic disorder medications.

Many of these works pre-suppose that your problems come from feelings and thoughts, conscious and unconscious, that lead to behavior and actions and other thoughts that are unhealthy or unwanted.

Try this – slump down in your chair, look down. How does your body feel, what are you thinking? After a moment, sit up, inhale through your nose fully, and exhale fully through your mouth, and look up a little bit. Do you notice a difference in your thoughts, or how your body feels? Which felt better?

Scientists don’t completely understand how exercise reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety. There is evidence showing that exercise raises the amount of some mood-enhancing neurotransmitters, boosts “feel-good” endorphins (cause of runners high) and eases muscle tension. Regular exercise helps you sleep better, reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol, and has other calming effects.

Natural Anxiety Treatments Explored

If you suffer from anxiety or panic attacks, I know how relieved you would be to never have to worry about anxiety again. Today we want to talk about natural anxiety treatments and how it is possible to completely eliminate anxiety and panic attacks.

Natural anxiety treatments are always my recommended route rather than using medication. There are all sorts of prescription drugs being prescribed for anxiety, but they don’t actually treat the problem! They simply mask the symptoms.

Instead, wouldn’t you rather be able to live a life where you know your anxiety is a thing of the past? It’s a lot better feeling knowing you’ve cured yourself of anxiety as opposed to simply covering up the symptoms with drugs that can have unpleasant side effects.

I typically group natural anxiety treatments into three categories: Relaxation and breathing exercises, thought and behavior adjustment and finally, natural herb and supplements.

Here’s quick rundown of each and then how to use this information to get rid of anxiety.

Personally, I don’t suggest the supplement route very often.

It really end up being a way to cover up the symptoms instead of curing the problem, similar to prescription drugs. However, as the side effects are typically minimized compared to prescription drugs and it is helpful for some people, they can be used at times to help relieve symptoms in the shortterm.

Breathing and relaxation techniques can be extremely powerful when it comes to alleviating anxiety. Many people don’t realize that when they are having anxiety symptoms, they are often over breathing which can cause further symptoms.

Learning proper breathing techniques will you be able to minimize symptoms and prevent panic attacks. If you can identify when an attack is coming on and then use breathing techniques properly, you can easliy stop them from escalating.

Finally, learning how to reshape your thought patterns is a key component to getting rid of anxiety. You are so accustomed to reacting to certain situations or symptoms in a certain way. Anxiety sufferers tend to blow things out of proportion and perceive fear when it isn’t necessary.

It may sound challenging as your mind is so used to reacting to certain events or physical sensations in a particular way, but it’s possible to change your thought process if you take the right steps. This is at the top of the list of natural anxiety treatments because of how effective it is.
