Anxiety Disorder – is Society or your Lifestyle Killing you

July 21st, 2010

General anxiety disorder is a common form of anxiety. It’s characterized by excessive or unrealistic worry or concern. This worry is normally associated with a persons life and life situation. There are many theories as to the cause of anxiety but no clear reason has emerged as the primary cause of the disorder.

There are many theories as to the cause(s) that surround the identification of anxiety disorders.

1. Certain medical conditions that can cause hormonal imbalances has been known to cause anxiety symptoms

2. Stress is a suspect in the development of anxiety. Though associated with anxiety, stress may also be simply a symptom or greater underlying problem

3. Some people may simply have the type of personality that’s more easily identified or associated with anxiety.

4. It seems to run in families. That is, anxiety may be hereditary

As you can see, the ideas offered as potential causes of anxiety are very weak. Experts tell us that an anxiety disorder can be recognized as more than normal worrying by how long it lasts and how it is allowed to affect your life.

This is problematic given the fact that the cause has not been identified. Consider someone who is under a lot of stress at work, and believes they are at risk of losing their position and that is critical to their families economic situation. It could be considered quite normal for someone in that position to be constantly worried and concerned.

A person in this situation could be considered having an anxiety disorder. While medication may help stabilize the general mood, it’s only by changing modifying or removing the root cause of the anxiety can someone be expected to return to a previous state of “normality”.

So often we treat the symptoms of an issue without understanding the underlying cause. The rapid growth of people suffering with anxiety disorders seems to suggest that possibly our society and lifestyles are not conducive to good mental health. There are simply too many of us suffering from a variety of anxiety related mental disorders to easily fit into the series as to what causes anxiety in the first place.

With tens of millions of people diagnosed and suffering with anxiety related disorders, along with millions more who are suffering in silence, other answers as to the cause of this anxiety epidemic need to be found

Funny Wedding Speech Jokes For The Best Man

July 5th, 2010

Funny wedding speech jokes are pretty much expected when it comes to the best man speech. Unfortunately, not all of us are born to make jokes, and the nerves you get on the day can make it hard to be the best entertainer you possibly can. But don’t let this ruin things! Here are some tips to help you get it right.

Knowing What Not to Say

I know you came here looking for what to say, and to find some funny wedding speech jokes, but I’m going to start by telling you what NOT to say. Because there are quite a few things that can ruin any best man speech.

Firstly, remember that this is your friend’s special day. Although you want the speech to be funny, you don’t want to make him feel bad by bringing an embarrassing story up that could offend anyone, or talking about ex loves. You also need to remember that elderly relatives will be there listening, so keep things clean!

How to Make It Entertaining

Now that you know what not to say, it’s time to start planning what you will say. You don’t want a best man speech to be boring, which is why most people include jokes. But if you aren’t great at telling jokes then you just need to plan ahead to make sure your speech comes out well.

If you’ve got specific jokes planned then make sure you memorise them all before the big day arrives. This will make sure you’ve always got something to say, and help to alleviate some of those nerves. You can use a cue card, but make sure you also maintain eye contact with the audience.

When you deliver your jokes you can use extra techniques to make them as funny as possible. For example, you could change your tone of voice or incorporate facial expressions for the best effects.

Lastly, funny wedding speech jokes are all well and good, but they’re not the be all and end all of your speech. Ultimately, your speech needs to congratulate your friends and wish them a lifetime of happiness together. Keep the jokes clean, don’t be afraid to show emotion, and keep the speech short and you’ll do fine!

If you’re freaking out about what you’re going to say on the big day then Best Man Speech Jokes has all the tips and examples you need to get it right! Best man toasts are meant to be fun, and you’ll be fine as long as you prepare in advance!
